Arsenal had led the league table for most of the campaign but they’ve collapsed in recent weeks, winning just two of their last eight matches. Ultimately, Arsenal’s lack of experience and squad depth cost the side in the run-in, even if Manchester City’s expertise would have been difficult for the most polished of teams to deal with. Arteta will seek to rectify that this summer by adding to his midfield and defence.
