program not registered

SymptomWhen you do "connection test" for a T type RFC destination in SM59, the following error occurred.

CauseThis error indicates the external RFC server program DID NOT聽register on the SAP gateway.

聽Resolution

1) If your external program is rfcexec, then you can follow note 353597,BUT you have to聽double check what is your "real" external program as rfcexec is only聽an example program. If your "real" external program is not rfcexec or you are not sure what the "real" is, you need to check with the relevant application or third party what the program is and how Their program can be registered on the gateway as the different application may has different registration method. From RFC point of view, we cannot know what the external program is.聽
