Drainage improvement project prompts road closure in Morgan Twp

The Butler County Engineer's Office announced a road closure for a drainage improvement project in Morgan Township.

Beginning Monday, March 27, Chapel Road will close between Layhigh Road and 0.87 miles south of State Route 129.

Officials say the road will be closed to all through traffic and is tentatively scheduled to reopen by May 22.

A detour for northbound traffic on Chapel Road will be available via east on Layhigh Road, north on Robinson Road, and west on State Route 129.

Southbound traffic will reverse this route.
