 The Angel of Paradise is here to serve you! Paradiso Guardian is a Boys Love Metroidvania-themed game by Lvlv. Taking place in the world of Paradiso, you play as Lenga Valentine the Combat Angel who is tasked with investigating a mysterious floating castle up in the sky, while also possibly looking for a "good time" or two with the friends he has and makes along the way. Though initially announced around the late 2010s, the game took a long time to complete, with the full game being released in September 2023. Tropes used in Paradiso Guardian include: Anti-Villain: The final boss Shadowlord has no real intention of taking over Paradiso or whatever; he just wants to see his younger brother Vito again after the latter left their home world. All There in the Manual: Most of the game's character relation, especially Lenga with Radian/Shuten, can fly over the player's head easily if they've never read through Lvlv's comic and arts. Concept art reveals that Lenga and Radian both have another forms that are full of angelic abomination elements. Bowdlerise: Turning off the "Naughty Angel" mode disables the game's sex scenes and censors all form of nudity. Color-Coded Characters - Every characters is color-coded. Lenga - Yellow Radian - White Floody - Blue Vito - Black Shuten - Red Yokkun - Claret Elemental Powers Casting a Shadow: Vito Light'Em Up: Radian Making a Splash: Floody Playing with Fire: Shuten Maligned Mixed Marriage: The Laws of Inferno forbid a demon from betrothing with an angel, which was the reason why Shuten decided to leave his home world for Paradiso to chase after Lenga. Love At First Punch: According to the game's backstory by Lvlv, Shuten was searching for the strongest one of all who could best him in battle to be his bride, but Lenga showed up at wrong place and wrong time and unknowingly unleashed his technique on him. Shuten has been chasing after him for his hand in marriage since. Hunk: Everyone in the game is very stacked, though still within an acceptable domain. This include Lenga and Yokkun who are more on the lean side of the spectrum. Really Gets Around: Lenga loves to get into his love interests' pant a lot. Spell My Name with an "S": In-game, Lenga has tendency to call Yokkun by the name "Yonkun". This is because his name was originally spelt "4くん" in the comic made by Lvlv, and "4" can be read as "Yon". Shower Scene: Used as the game's save points, with Lenga entering a shower whenever the player decides to save the game. Stripperiffic: Floody doesn't wear any form of armor over his upper body, with only a leather harness and (somehow) a hoodie serving as his clothings Yokkun's outfit bares his midriff and show off his toned thighs and butts. The final boss Shadowlord dresses in what is best described as male Chainmail Bikini to the extreme. Parental Substitute: Captain Radian is Lenga's adoptive father who looks after and trains the young angel, although Lenga has tendency to "persuade" him to move their relationship into the "other zone". |
