General Strategy

1) Getting Started

First off your primary objective should be to maximize coin production, initially you'll be going around the map with a small army of low-tier units to collect enough so that you can build a mine. Do this until you have 5 mines built, they don't have to be upgraded yet.

2) Playing to your Strengths

Depending on the Hero you have chosen, one among the three classes will fit your playstyle the best, 1) Infantry 2) Archers 3) Mages . Now some of these troops are very cheap and are mostly meant to be used a cannon-fodder or to soak up Mage/Archery tower attacks while your ranged units destroy them.

3) Building Houses

By now you should have accumulated enough gold and some troops that you can consider building a base, don't. Chances are other players on the map have started out before and have a standing army, meaning any buildings you put down will be destroyed by the time you collect enough gold to upgrade them. Not to mention, to upgrade those buildings you will be going around the map and taking risks while they may come under attack.

What you can do here is pick a location far away from other bases, which is often the corners and place a couple of houses.

4) Raking in Gold

Now that you can build more units, focus on maxing your current cap. Then it's hit & run tactics, try to aim for isolated Mines or mines with low-tier or few defences.

5) Bigger Army (slightly risky strat)

Sappers are very useful, they don't cost much (around 150) and they target the King whenever possible. Start off by making a small army which tempts others to go for you. Once you are somewhat near the enemy start spamming Sappers, and try to move near the enemy King. Sappers by default will aim to attack the king and explode, timed just right it is enough to bring down a numerically superior army. Once the King is down, spam houses and upgrade them and grab as many troops as you can. If you're on a team, let others know where you are ([Tab] for team chat)

6) Settling Down

Once you have a decent army and gold in stock, it is time to lay down a base. It is often better to do this near your team mates since you won't have to build as many defences to cover all directions and can instead focus on upgrading the ones you have.

7) Endgame

Once you either have maxed out troops or enough money to continuously replace them, you can consider attacking the center. Just make sure no one ends up flanking you while you're doing this. The center fortress, upon spawning, also has some very beefy trolls guarding it which will seek out your hero and attempt to kill you - make sure these are taken care of before mounting a full attack on the center.

Strategy 2

1) Find a server with a maximum or 5 people

2) Go around the map and build five mines. No troops are needed, but if you find other's mines, get five archers, destroy their mine, and build your own's there.

3) When you have 15k - 20k gold, build some houses near one mine and get a few trolls and archers. You may also add Mage Towers or Archer Towers to defend your main base.

4) Team with people better than you. This is crucial because it lowers the chance of an attack on your undefended mines AND provides you with a boost because they might have a lot of defenses. However, do not rely on their defenses, as if they leave you'll be undefended.

5) After building your base, keep adding defenses, upgrading/adding houses, and adding archers, trolls(you may have already got its limit), barbarians, mages, and a few ballistas. Do not get dragons or knights or sappers or soldiers: All are kind of useless, especially if you want to attack the middle.

6) When you hit population 500-600, you may go to the middle. First, destroy one mage tower, then advance and destroy the center fortress. I prefer doing this with an 800-900 population to ensure victory.

And then, you're done
