He is portrayed by late Sérgio Mamberti and by his son Duda Mamberti when young.

Dionísio is a very cultured and intelegent man who poses as a powerful businessman for all hiding his nazi past and always pretending to be nice. He is a cold, calculating, tyrant and sociopathic man who saves no effort to get what he wants and keep his past under wraps. Dionísio is a murderer who has sent several innocent people to concentration camps and handed them over to nazi hands to their deaths. He is also xenophobe and prejudiced who does not accept different to him, demonstrating all his prejudice as when William played with his great-grandchildren and always shows aversion to his father, Quirino who was his driver because they were black.

With the death of his son, Fernando. Dionysus imagined him in Alberto wanting to create him to be like him, he also tries to do the same thing with Samuca, teaching him racism and prejudice it just didn't happen because Ester stopped him quickly.

Dionísio is also sarcastic, always treating people with debauchery, his favorite victim is his daughter-in-law Guiomar with whom he has no good relationship

Not much is known about Klaus' past, but at some point in his life and for some reason, he joined the German Nazi army. He sent several victims to the battlefield and the war camp most of them were blacks, homosexuals, Jews and Gypsies, and one of the victims was a couple, parents of a Dutch boy of Jewish descent, Samuel Schneider, he stole his family jewels like Samuel's mother's wedding ring (whose jewel he gave to his future wife) and his father's watch. Klaus made money by sending people, and after the World War II, he married a German woman named Helga and they moved to Brazil in the state of Rio Grande do Norte and went to live in a small seaside town called Vila dos Ventos, where Klaus adopted a new identity, Dionísio Alburquerque.

Here, he opened Grupo Alburquerque a company specializing in mineral salts and diamonds, where he increased his fortune even further they built a mansion. Klaus and his wife had a son, Fernando Albuquerque. In adulthood, Fernando married a woman named Guiomar and had a son, Alberto Alburquerque. Fernando used to see Dionísio as a hero, but one day he learned about his father's crimes in the past and revolted against him and everything. Fernando got out of a crazy, and from that he became an alcoholic. He died in a car accident, this led Guiomar to forsake Alberto, leaving him under the care of Dionísio, who raised him severely and rigidly.

When young and still married, Dionísio seduced a maid from the mansion, Maria Adília and she had a son, Candinho. Maria went away to Rio de Janeiro, Candinho was rejected by Dionísio and brought to Veridiana, Adília's mother.

During the period of World War II, Dionísio won a swastika medal given by Adolf Hitler.

Dionysus, is first seen in the living room of the mansion. Here, he scolds Alberto for entering the room wet. and calls his grandson to talk in the office. Dionísio scolds Alberto for his party-goer lifestyle, and says it's time for him to start thinking about the family business, Alberto disagrees and says that for now not, Dionísio gets angry, Alberto goes around buggy with his friend Ester Schneider and her boyfriend, Cassiano Soares. Ester praises a painting of the living room, Dionísio says the painting is German. Donato, Hélio's father, Donato was arrested and charged with murder, to get his father out of jail, Hélio asked to Dionísio to help enter university, and Dionísio helps with a condition, that after he graduates, he must work in the office. Hélio accepts the proposal. Dionísio tells Alberto to take his place in the meeting with the salt pans employees. Candinho, a villager goes to the mansion and is expelled by him.

The evening at Ester and Cassiano's engagement party is held around the pool of the Albuquerque mansion, Dionísio questions Alberto why he is sad and he says he loves Ester and that he should be the woman of his life. Dionísio tells him to forget Esther and focus on the family business but Alberto does not listen. The next day, he calls a Guatemalan marketer, Dom Rafael and says he needs men to exude diamonds and bring them to Brazil. To realize the diabolical plan, Alberto recommends Cassiano for this, Dionísio says that Don Rafael is a serious man and does not like to play games or pranks, and that any mistake everything is lost. With Cassiano imprisoned in Guatemala, and given dead, Ester consoles himself with Alberto, their friendship turns into love, Alberto gets closer to her son, Samuca, and takes on the role of his father, Ester decides to marry Alberto for the joy of Samuel, Lindaura, and Samuca. The day of the marriage of Ester and Albert arrives, they marry in a Judaic ceremony before that, Dionísio shows a Nazi medal to Alberto who says that he should not show it in public and that he needs to keep. The wedding begins and Dionísio watches with angry expression disgust, Samuel and he exchange glances and greets each other, without knowing the identity of the other.

Seven years later, Dionísio is in a wheelchair due to an accident, and is older than before. He is seen in the office, calling a mysterious person who says the money's gone, he hangs up the phone. Later with Hélio who now is Grupo Alburquerque's lawyer, he discusses the situation of the salt pans, Hélio suggests that they reduce the number of employees, Alberto disagree because that would have more spending, but Dionísio agrees, after the discussion, Dionísio congratulates Hélio for his work. After Alberto's clients were arrested for a complaint made by Ester, he's going away enraged. Dionísio is in the living room of the mansion listening to classical war music, when he is interrupted by one of the maids, Zuleika asks if he will still need her, and says she goes in the room to watch soap opera, Dionísio lets her go and if he need her call her. and he listens back to the music, until Ester arrives asking for Alberto, he says that probably the grandson is in the room and question what happened, Ester says that the outcome will not be good. Alberto arrive next asking for Esther, Dionísio says to his grandson that Ester is that caboclinha he brought to the mansion, Alberto retorts and says she's the woman of his life and go to room.

Samuca is in the garden playing with toys around the pool, Dionísio appears and says he doesn't like toys scattered across the floor, he put Samuca on his lap and play racing, Doralice arrives with her adopted son, William she says she didn't get a babysitter for the boy and that he has a science homework, Dionísio disguise the prejudice saying the house is not a day care center, William and Samuca greet each other and the boy asks Doralice to play with Samuca, Dora says the deal was for him to stay with her, but William insists and she lets the boy play with Samuca, Esther cancels family outing and Dionísio gets angry. William and Samuca are in the pool, Dionísio complains to Esther about Samuca playing with William and leaves her shocked by the words and Doralice listens from afar while working, Ester scolds him for the racist attitude, Dionísio calls her again caboclinha. Samuca and William go to the Dionísio's room and go through his things, William finds the Nazi medal, it is spotted by Dionísio, William is expelled and forbidden to come to the mansion. Doralice tells all to Quirino and Quirino faces him and says he won't let his son be the victim and is resigns, Dionísio the debauchery saying that "his God will punish him", Quirino confronts him again and leaves the mansion.

The next day, Samuca calls William asking him to play in the mansion, but he says he can't go, Dionísio disguises his racism for Samuca, and says that Quirino's son is not a "good friendship", he asks Samuca why not call the son a senator and that one day Samuca will thank him for getting rid of William, Ester questions what he's saying, Dionísio says he's giving advice about the world, teaching what's right and wrong and "black and white", Ester and Samuca come out sad. At breakfast, Samuca is wearing a cap, Alberto and Dionísio get bothered and ask him to take away because it's rude, but Samuca refuse. Dionísio goes to the office and Alberto go along, they complain about Samuca, he says Alberto needs to educate the boy better, and that if it were in the old days, he would have beaten his grandson.

Alberto is worried about Cassiano and the marriage to Esther can be ruined, after Esther cries when she sees that Cassiano is alive, Dionísio calls her wild and criticizes her for Alberto, Dionísio mocks. Later he is in the room with Esther watching the pediatrician take care of Laurinha.

A few months later, Candinho return with the goat Ariana and visits Samuca with a puppet doll bought in Paraíba, he screams for the boy even Zuleika insisting to speak down, Dionísio see who he is, and gets annoyed to see Candinho, he says he's there to give a gift to Samuca and starts to demonstrate it very close, Dionísio gets angry even more, he takes the toy from Candinho's hand and breaks the puppet, Candinho and Zuleika are shocked, Dionísio calls him retarded and mentally weak, he also tells him not to bring that disgusting goat, Candinho takes the toy and go away. After Candinho tells Veridiana, his grandmother, she goes to the Albuquerque mansion and argues with Dionísio they mention about his past with Veridiana's daughter, Dionísio sarcastic saying she was a saint, Veridiana retorts, she threatens him saying that if Candinho is mistreated by any word that comes out of his dirty mouth she'll hurt Dionísio, he mock saying she's no match for him Veridiana go away.

His daughter-in-law, Guiomar returns to Vila dos Ventos with a friend, Nicole. It imposes some rules, the Schneider and Albuquerque families do not coexist together, Guiomar proposes a dinner to celebrate. Dionísio is stunned. At this dinner, Dionísio realizes that Samuel was amazed by the Dutch painting, he recalls the times of war, Guiomar says the Nazis are "where they deserve to be" Samuel feels bad and goes to the bathroom. After dinner, everyone applauds the food and Dionísio applauds with an expression of disgust.

Guiomar takes the Dutch painting from the wall of the room and replaces it with a photo of her and Fernando. Dionísio revolts and demands that the photograph be removed, Guiomar teases him, she says it's an "old memory" of his son's face. Dionísio go to room. Dionísio discovers that the Nazi medal is gone, he complains to Alberto, the grandson remembers that he kept the medal in the jacket on the day of his wedding to Esther, Dionísio is angry that Alberto did not return the medal and have kept for 3 years, Alberto says Zuleika may have put on the suit to wash and saw the medal, Dionísio says Zuleika go around with that and show it to someone, if Nazi medal is in someone's hands, he'll be screwed, Dionísio sends Alberto to go looking again.

Samuel continues investigations into Dionísio's past and his alleged involvement with Nazism, he asks Quirino for help so doralice can get a picture of when he was young, she says she doesn't have many pictures of him around the mansion, and that she will try to find some.

Esther divorces Alberto to stay with Cassiano, she leaves the mansion with the children, Samuel, Lindaura and Guiomar are in the living room, Dionísio comes up to see what's going on, Esther says she's leaving the mansion with the Samuca and Laurinha. He brades and says it's good, and accuses Esther of having married Alberto for money, Samuel is offended and asks what he meant by that. Esther say that their money can be dazzling to several women except for her, and that she's proud of his origins and doesn't need the Albuquerque money anymore, and that will take what he said as a compliment. So, Dionísio accuses her of destroying the family's last name, an offended Samuel claims that this is destroyed long ago before this marriage, Dionísio confused it what he means by that Lindaura calms her husband and everyone goes away.

One afternoon, Doralice still keeps trying to find an old photo of Dionísio, she goes to the home office and rummage scours all the shelves, and cabinets, but fails. She makes a try at a desk drawer, and finds an old photo of Dionísio and Helga in Paris, she tries to look for more photos in other rooms, but Dionísio catch her rummaging through his stuff and asks what she's doing. Doralice panicked lies saying she knew there was a cookbook in the office and came to look for it, Dionísio says in a tone of arrogance that there is rather a cookbook that belonged to Helga, but that is written in German because the wife did not like to speak in Portuguese with the servants, he says Doralice doesn't even know the German language, she replies no, and he says "knew" in a debauched tone, she finds such a cookbook, Dionísio leaves the office and Doralice comes out relieved.

However, days later, Dionísio freak out to discover that his and Helga's photo in Paris was stolen by Doralice, he calls her in his office and orders her to be fired, Guiomar appears there and defends Doralice and tells Dionísio that this is a serious accusation. Doralice cries with nerves and everyone goes to the office to look for that photo, however, he opens the photo album and sees the photo right there, Guiomar scolds him and says he is out of date, Dionísio apologizes to Doralice.

Esther discovers that he is the Nazi executioner who sent his grandparents to the concentration camp and confronts him, Dionísio is shocked by her words and heart attack. Dionísio wakes up in hospital, recovers and hires a man named Arruda to kill Samuel. Samuel nearly drowns but is fortunately saved by Cassiano and is taken to hospital. Dionísio upon learning of this goes to the hospital and tells lies to Samuel about his past as Klaus Wagner, claiming that he met Klaus in which Samuel pretends to believe.
