Enlisting everyone's help to preserve wetlands
CEPA, which stands for communication, capacity building, education, participation and awareness, is a program initiated by the Ramsar Convention on Wetlands to "prevent, stop and reverse the degradation of wetlands and use them wisely." On July 6, the inaugural China Mangrove CEPA International Symposium was held at UpperHills in Futian District. The event was also a parallel forum of the 2023 China Nature Education Congress.

Waiting for a rain at Nantou Ancient Town
In the exhibition “Waiting For a Rain” curated by Qiu Zhijie, vice president of the Central Academy of Fine Arts, poetic verses are inscribed with water-proof materials, and concealed throughout the nooks of Nantou Ancient Town. Only when water descends upon them do these verses reveal themselves. During rainless moments, visitors may borrow the water guns at the service center to engage in a delightful discovery of the hidden poetry. The exhibition will run through Aug. 7.
