“Complain”和”Complaint”有甚麼差別?

“Complain”和”Complaint”這兩個英文單字很多時候都會被誤用，雖然它們的意思有相關，可是並不能交替使用喔。

“Complain 是動詞 (Verb)，它是「投訴」、「抱怨」的意思，”Complain about”是投訴或抱怨某人物/事。

(1) John complained to the restaurant about the quality of their food.John跟餐廳投訴他們食物的素質。

(2) Kate was fired after she complained to the Human Resource department about his boss.Kate跟人事部投訴她老闆後就被炒魷魚。

(3) Benny always complains about his job.Benny一天到晚都抱怨他的工作。

“Complaint”是名詞 (Noun)，是「投訴」、「怨言」的意思。

(4) The Human Resource department received a complaint about Kate’s boss.人事部收到關於Kate的老闆的投訴。

(5) John made a complaint to the restaurant about the quality of their food.John跟餐廳投訴他們食物的素質。

(6) I’m tired of hearing about Benny’s complaints about his job.我聽Benny對工作的抱怨聽到有點煩。
