Where is Lorraine Kelly this morning and why isn't she on her show? Fans are wondering after former Countdown star Carol Vorderman appeared in place of Lorraine on her show today.

It comes after Good Morning Britain's Ranvir Singh and Christine Lampard appeared in place of Lorraine on the show back in February.

The Scottish TV presenter was notably missing from screens - despite normally hosting the show on weekdays - as she had been onscreen last week.

Lorraine Kelly is missing from the Lorraine show again this week as she has tested positive for Covid and confirmed she is being replaced with former Countdown star and mum-of-two Carol Vorderman who is standing in for her all week.

Taking to Twitter, she said: "Well the Covid has finally got me and I tested positive at the weekend. Thanks to the vaccine it’s not too bad and I hope to be back at work very soon. Huge thanks to who will be hosting until I’m back. @carolvorders @lorraine."

It comes after she was unexpectedly replaced by host Ranvir Singh on the ITV breakfast show earlier this year.

Lorraine shared on Instagram details of who would be looking after her while she gets better - with her daughter Rosie and husband Steve plus dogs Ruby and Angus.

She shared, "The dreaded Covid has finally caught up with me. I am so thankful to the scientists who developed the vaccine! Being looked after by @rosiekellysmith @rubyisasausage and @steveandangussmith - thanks to @carolvorders for hosting @lorraine until I’m back ! #covid_19"

Lorraine Kelly isn't on her show because she has tested positive for Coronavirus just days after attending Wimbledon. She usually enjoys some of her annual leave, as like Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield, she usually has the school holidays off to spend time with her family.

But this time she has been struck down with unexpected illness and while self-isolation is no longer compulsory, it's understood that ITV stars continue to follow the rules and Lorraine is unlikely to return to work until she gets two negative tests. Similar to what happened when Philip Schofield tested positive earlier this year.

Fans have shares their get well wishes with the TV star, one tweeted, "We had avoided it in our household, until this weekend. Eldest tested positive and quite ill! Dread to think how ill she could have been if not vaccinated. Praying that the rest of the household avoids it. Get well soon."

Another put, "Get well soon, I just wish the government would make masks obligatory in communal areas for people like me that cannot have the vaccine."

And a third added, "Get well soon Lorraine I had it 2 weeks ago. Your right the vaccines help."

Lorraine took to social media to share some adorable snaps of her dog Angus and also her daughter Rosie's sausage dog Ruby.

Lorraine Kelly is off work ill with Coronavirus but thanks to the vaccine her symptoms appear to be milder. The Scottish TV presenter had been enjoying some time off, spending time with her daughter Rosie after posting several snaps on Instagram of their dogs and watching Wimbledon.
