Mahara is a fully featured web application to build your electronic portfolio. You can create journals, upload files, embed third-party resources from the web and collaborate with other users in groups.

This site runs Mahara 22.10, which was released on 31 October 2022. Please refer to the Mahara manual to learn more about the Mahara features and how it works.

This demo site will reset itself once a day at 8 p.m. (New Zealand). All content will be erased then and only the pre-configured content will be available.

If you want to keep the personal portfolios you created before the reset, please export them via 'Main menu → Manage → Export' to be able to import it into another Mahara later on. You cannot save institution or group settings and content.

All demo accounts have the password "MaharaDemo".
