Abstract: In order to explore the influence of the installation height of evacuation indicator on evacuation efficiency and evacuation behavior of evacuation personnel, the longitudinal dominant line of sight test was carried out in four states of standing posture, walking posture, normal running posture and escape running posture. The fire evacuation exercises under different installation height of evacuation indicator were carried out, and the questionnaire survey on the matching of consciousness tendency and indicator information was carried out. The results showed that the subjects were more inclined to the right side in four states. Subjects in each state of vertical advantage line of sight is different. Participants ’ longitudinal dominant vision is proportional to their height. When the installation height is 300 mm, the evacuation efficiency is the highest, and when the installation height is 1300 mm, the evacuation efficiency is the lowest. The participants have a strong sense of inclination, and they subconsciously evacuate according to their familiar routes exercise. The research results of the influence of different installation height on evacuation efficiency provide scientific basis for the installation of evacuation indicator
