Teaching Procedures:

Step 1 Lead-in

Show picture of monkeys in Emei mountain. Talk about what animals they like.

Play a video about animals to arouse their interests.

Step 2 Consolidate new words

Play a guessing game. The students choose and do the quiz according to the pictures.

Step 3. Talk about animals in danger.

Work in pairs. Talk about animals in danger as much as they know.

Step 4 Listening

Listen to Activity 2 and answer the questions.

1. What’s this week’s Animal World about?

2. Which animals are in danger?

Step 5 Listen to Activity 3 and answer the following question.

1. Why are some animals in danger?

A. They don’t have a safe place to live .

B. Villages and farms are growing smaller .

C. Their land and forests are taken away.

D. There isn’t enough clean water.

Step 6 . Listen and check the True sentences.

Let Ss listen and check the true sentences and correct the false ones.

Summary the infinitive sentences.

Step 7. Discussion.

If you are a member of World Wildlife Found for Nature(世界自然基金会），what will you do for the animals. Work in groups. Fill out a form and make a dialogue.

Step 8 Summary
