1982~1987年就读于北京医科大学药学院化学专业获理学学士学位，1987-1992年就读于北京医科大学药学院药物化学专业获药物化学博士学位，后留校任教从事教学和科研工作。1999年被聘为教授，2001年被聘为博士生导师。长期以来从事糖化学、糖化学生物学及相关创新药物的研究。先后获得了国家自然科学基金重大研究计划、重点课题、面上项目、科技部“973”、科技部创新药物重大专项、国家新药研究基金、卫生部科研基金、教育部创新团队等40余项基金的支持。已发表学术论文150余篇和专著一部，获批中国发明专利及国际专利20余项。担任中国药学会药物化学专业委员会委员，北京药学会药物化学专业委员会主任委员；为Chinese Chemical Letter、中国药物化学杂志、中国药学（英）等杂志编委。已指导研究生80余人获得学位。曾获国家教委科技进步三等奖及中国药学会-Servier青年药物化学奖。目前承担的课程有“有机合成”(药学院本科)、糖化学(药学院研究生)。先后获得北京大学“十佳教师”、“优秀教师”及医学部 “十佳教师”、研究生“良师益友”及“我身边的好老师”等称号。
