航空英语：飞机的组成部分

1、The basic components of any airplane are the fuselage, the wings, the empennage, the landing gear and the power plant.

飞机的基本部件包括机身、机翼、尾翼、起落架和动力装置。

2、Most airplanes manufactured today use something called semi-monocoque construction.

大多数现代飞机采用半硬壳式结构。

3、This means that underneath the skin of the airplane, there are a series of bulkheads and other supports that help hold the airplane together.

这意味着在飞机蒙皮下面，有一系列隔框和支撑件，将飞机结合到一起。

4、Most planes have a single set of wings referred to as a monoplane, but some planes have two or three sets of wings referred to as biplanes and triplanes respectively.

大多数飞机只有一组机翼，称为单翼飞机，但有些飞机有两组或三组机翼，分别称为双翼或三翼飞机。

5、The empennage, derived from a French word having to do with feathering an arrow, is commonly referred to as the tail.

"empennage"（尾翼）这个词源自法语，原意是在箭上安装羽毛，通常称为“tail”。

6、Finally, there is the power plant, which in layman's terms is the engine.

最后是动力装置，用外行人的话来说，叫“发动机”。
