摘要：李白是中国盛唐最杰出的浪漫主义诗人，被后人誉为“诗仙”。李白诗歌在英语世界的翻译与传播是中国古典文化西传的重要组成部分。从十八世纪至今，李白诗歌在英国的翻译传播史已逾百年，对英国诗坛产生了积极的影响。从18世纪的“小荷才露尖尖角”到19世纪的预热升温再到20世纪至今的如火如荼，李白诗歌在英国的英译作品的数量、质量都显著提高；译者们的研究范围也从单纯的诗作翻译扩展到对李白生平、时代和社会背景的分析研究；他们的翻译原则也由直译为主、间接翻译为辅过渡到律诗和散文诗翻译并存。本文以李白诗作在英国的译介及特点为研究对象，全面系统地梳理李白诗歌在英国的翻译及传播历史，有助于全面客观地了解李白文学和中国古典文化西传的途径、特点与影响。%Praised as the " Immortal Poet" ,Li Bai is one of the most eminent romantic poets in China’s magnif-icent Tang Dynasty.
