In the near future, the earth is covered with yellow sand, and basic crops such as wheat, okra and so on have died out due to wilt. Instead of looking at the stars and indulging in imagination and inspiration as before, human beings count down the few scenes left under the ravages of sandstorms every day. Cooper (Matthew McConaughey), a former NASA astronaut who worked as a domestic farmer, found strange gravity field phenomena in the study of his daughter Murphy (Mackenzie Foy) one after another, and then learned that the former NASA members were still secretly carrying out a plan to save mankind in an unknown area. Many years ago, a mysterious wormhole appeared near Saturn. NASA took the opportunity to send several astronauts to distant galaxies to find habitable planets. Under the persuasion of Professor Brand (Michael Caine), Cooper said goodbye to his daughter painfully, and took a spaceship with the daughters of three other experts and professors, Emilia Brand (Anne Hathaway), Romili (David Gyasi), and Doyle (Wes Bentley), to the three most promising planets currently known. Through the distant galaxy Galaxy, they experienced the vicissitudes of one hour and seven years, and saw the grandeur and mystery of unknown stars and black holes. In the desperate and lonely corner of the vast universe, there is always a steadfast feeling that transcends time and space that connects them closely
