Leica Elmar

Pop Photo reviewed the Heliar in the early 2000鈥檚 as one of the sharpest lenses ever tested.

Going just by the numbers, the Heliar is the sharper of the two.聽

I鈥檓 assuming the f2.8 Elmar being asked about to is the more recent version and not the one from the M3/M2 era.

Given the choice today with my digital M鈥檚, I鈥檇 be looking for a more recent Elmar that鈥檚 already 6 bit coded or have it coded after buying.
