①Turning once again to the question of

invasion, I would observe that there has never been a period in all these long centuries of 

which we boast when an absolute guarantee 

against invasion could have been given to our people. 

再次谈到入侵问题，我认为在这漫长的世纪之中，我们从未有一段时间能像我们的人民夸下海口，说我们绝对有保障。

②But I have myself full confidence that if all do their duty,if nothing is neglected, 

and the best arrangements are made, 

as they are being made, we shall prove 

ourselves once more able to defend our island home. To ride out the storm of 

war and to outlive the menace of 

ptyranny. If necessary for years, if

necessary alone. 

但是我对于我自己是完全有信心的，如果所有人都各司其职，不疏忽一个错误，去做好最佳的安排，并且他们确实落实了，那我们将再一次去证明自己可以保卫我们的家乡。

让它安然的度过战争的风暴，并且在暴政的恐吓中生存下来，即使这样要花很多年，即使我们只是在孤军奋战。

③At any rate, that is what we are going 

to try to do. That is resolve of His 

Majesty's Government, every man of 

them. That is the will of Parliament and

the Nation. The British Empire and the

French Republic, linked together in their cause and in their need, will defend to

the death their native soil. Aiding each 

other like good comrades to the utmost of 

their strength. 

所以无论如何，那就是我们要去奋斗的目的。这就是大英王国政府的决心，是我们每个人的决心，是议会和国家的意愿。大英王国与法兰西共和国要为了共同的目标和需求携手前进，将誓死捍卫他们的土地。去尽最大的力量，去如同手足一般的相帮助。

④Even though large tracts of Europe

and many old and famous states have

fallen or may fall into the grip of the

Gestapo and all the odious apparatus of the 

Nazi rule, we shall not flag or fail. We shall go on to the end! 

即使欧洲的大片土地和许多古老著名的国家已经陷入或者可能陷入盖世太保和纳粹统治的魔爪，那我们也毫不动摇，绝不气馁，我们要坚持到最后！

⑤We shall fight in France. We shall fight on 

the seas and the oceans. We shall 

fight with growing confidence and 

growing strengths in the air. We shall 

defend our island, whatever the cost 

may be. We shall fight on the beaches.

We shall fight on the landing grounds.

We shall fight in the fields and in the

streets. We shall fight in the hills. 

We shall never surrender! 

我们将在法国战斗，我们将在海洋上战斗，我们将以越来越大的信心和越来越强的力量在空中战斗，我们将不惜一切代价保卫我们的土地，我们将在海滩上战斗，我们将在敌人的登陆点上战斗，我们将在田野里和街道上战斗，我们将在山区里战斗。我们绝不投降！

⑥And if which I do not for a moment 

believe, this island or large part of it 

were subjugated and starving, then our empire beyond the seas, armed and guarded by the British fleet, would carry on 

the struggle. Until, in God's good time,

the New World, with all its power and 

might, steps forth to the rescue and the

liberation of the old!

即使我绝对不相信会这样，即使我们的国家或者大部分的地区被敌人占领，因此而陷入饥荒，那我们的英国舰队武装和被保卫海外王国领土也将继续战斗。直到上帝认为时机已经成熟，新的世界将会带着蓬勃的力量前来拯救和解放这个旧的世界！
