“Ready” 和 “Readily” 的分別

“Ready” 和 “Readily” 這兩個英文單字雖然長得有點像，但是它們的意思和用法很不同呀。

“Ready” 通常是用作形容詞(Adjective)，表示準備妥當、預備好的意思。

(1) I got up at 5AM this morning and was ready for the day by 5:05AM.我今天早上五點起牀，在5:05AM就準備好迎接新的一天。

(2)A: Let’s go. The car is leaving in two minutes.A: 走，車子還有兩分鐘就要離開。

B: Wait! I’m not ready yet!B: 等一下啦! 我還沒搞定!

“Ready” 也可以用作動詞(Verb)，這時候它是指準備的動作。

(3)A: What are you doing this weekend?A: 你週末要幹嘛?

B: I need to ready my bills for tax filing.B: 我要準備好報稅用的賬單。

“Readily” 是一個副詞(Adverb)，它是指爽快、樂意、容易等意思。

(4) Jack readily agrees to help us with the move.Jack 很爽快就答應幫我們搬家。

(5) Public transportation is readily available in most cities in Japan.在大多數日本城市使用公共交通都很方便。

(6) I really like my professor. I can readily understand his lectures.我超喜歡我的教授，我很容易就能夠明白他的課。
