一、作用

表语说明主语的状态、特征，是什么 / 怎么样。一般在谓语系动词之后

She is very beautiful. …………… 她很漂亮。 Two plus ten is twelve. …………… 2 + 10 = 12 二、什么词可用作表语

1. 名词

He is a doctor. …………… 他是医生。 It sounds a very good song. …………… 听起来那是一首很好的歌曲。

2. 形容词

She is very beautiful. …………… 她很漂亮。 I fell sad and tired today. …………… 今天我感到伤心和疲累。

3. 代词：一般是物主代词、指示代词

This book is mine. …………… 这本书是我的。 What he want is this! …………… 他要的就是这个！

4. 介词（短语）

5. 副词

9. 分词：

10. 现在分词和动名词作表语的区别：现在分词可以看作形容词，对主语进行描述；而动名词则表示一个行为动作，动词意思更明显

The story is very interesting. …………… 这故事很有趣。（分词） The most important thing is giving the new generation a good training. 最重要的事情是对下一代进行良好的训练。（动名词）
