“Some people think that technology makes life complex,so we should make our life simpler without using the technology.To what extent do you agree or disagree?”

解析上周（2月11日）雅思真题的时候，唐老师曾经提出一个概念，那就是“返祖”现象，因为上周作文重复的是2012年4月12日的真题。返祖现象在自然界也好，人类也好，都是rare cases，因此当时唐老师的判断是，上周的返祖现象应该不会再发生，同学们应该把练习的重点放在2013和2014年的真题方面。然而，雅思就是雅思，它就是要击败一切理性预测和所谓的规律：本周作文居然把“返租”再往前推进了将近两个月，重复了2012年2月18的真题！

本次是科技类的题目，问科技让我们的生活更复杂，还是更简单？纵观历年雅思考题，科技类题材频繁出现。主要涉及如下内容：

科技发展的好坏讨论，包括：（1）机器广泛使用的优缺点；（2）科技进步影响生活是好是坏？（3）科技发展是否带来了消极的影响？（4）机器人对人类的未来很重要还是一个危险的发明？

太空旅行，包括：（1）航空旅行是否只会惠及最有钱的人？（2）太空旅行是好是坏？

现代通讯发展的利弊讨论，包括：（1）人们每天都能使用手机是否对个人和社会有消极影响？（2）人们受益于现代通讯技术还是完全没有收益？

科技综合类，包括：（1）科技与环境：应选择低科技的生活还是利用科技来解决环境问题？（2）科技与艺术：艺术能给我们什么科技所不能给的？

关于科技对我们生活的好处和坏处，以下思路可供参考。

好处：

（1）科技让我们的生活更方便；

（2）科技提高我们的工作效率，帮我们做危险的工作；

（3）科技让我们得以超越日常生活，体验以前不可想象的世界。

坏处：

（1）发展科技需要大量人力物力，而这些资源可以用来改善人们更为迫切的日常生活；

（2）科技发展有可能让我们失业；

（3）科技可能让人与人之间的关系变得疏远；

（4）人类可能被科技所控制。

再看本题。一般大家都会觉得，科技会让我们的生活更加简单，但这个题目却要求我们反向思维，论证一下科技如何让我们的生活复杂，然后再去论证，虽然科技有时候让我们的生活复杂，但在多数时候（或者应用得当的话），科技会让我们的生活简单。后半部分非常容易，论证科技如何让我们的生活简单，我们能说的太多，比如，通讯科技如何让我们交流起来迅速又简单；机器人如何让我们的工作准确又轻松；交通科技如何让我们的旅行快捷又舒适，等等。但问题就是前半部分，可能让很多烤鸭为难：科技怎么可能让我们的生活复杂？请看唐老师范文如何轻松化解这个难题。

Technology is not always an angel,rather,in some cases,it may turn out to be a devil making our life rather miserable and complicated.Indeed,besides having to take trouble to learn to use the technology,who has not at least once cursed the technology when he flips open his computer for some important data only to find that the computer breaks down or when he is eager to fly to a city for a life-and-death business negotiation only to be told that his flight is canceled?

Yet,it does not follow that we can make our life simpler by getting rid of technology.On the contrary,technology can make our life a great deal easier and more comfortable.In the old days when email was not available,we probably had to travel a couple of miles to the post office in order to send a“hello”letter to our friends,but now it is just a matter of a few simple clicks on the computer/cellphone keyboard.Today,we have to climb several hundred feet to the top of a building to do the construction work,yet when robots are developed in future,this job can be performed by them safely and quickly.

So whether technology is a nuisance or a help depends upon your attitude towards life.If you enjoy the simple life of a hermit like Thoreau,you’d better stay away from any technology,for it will complicate or even ruin your lifestyle,but if your ambition is to become a successful businessman or politician,you must keep abreast of the latest development of technology,for it will surely help you realize your dream.
