Sorry that driver didn't work for you.

Your SSD might have been a newer model than my OEM Samsung SSD.

The driver was good for the following Samsung SSD's...970 PRO, 970 EVO, 970 EVO Plus, 960 PRO, 960 EVO and 950 PRO.

Yours may be equivalent to the newer 980 Pro.

The model of the Samsung SSD in my HP notebook is: MZVLB512HBJQ-00H1, and the driver I posted worked for that one.

While it would be nice to have the driver for the model SSD installed, I doubt that is the reason for your dilemma.

The standard NVMe controller driver should be fine.

I'll tell you a short story...I have a Dell Optiplex 7050 business desktop, and I installed a Crucial P5 500 GB NVMe SSD.

Since I had found that Samsung NVMe driver for my HP notebook, I decided to search to see if there was a NVMe driver for the Crucial P5.

There was...the Micron NVMe driver.  Crucial is the retail division of Micron Technology.

I installed it but a few times a week, the PC would freeze and blue screen.

I thought it might be the Dell operating system image, so I clean installed W10 using the Microsoft media creation tool.

It still froze and crashed.

I decided it had to be that Micron NVMe controller driver, so I uninstalled it, and let W10 install the standard NMVe controller driver, and the PC has run fine for many months now without any freezes, crashes or blue screens.
