他正在玩杂耍呢。

The children put on a circus.

put on 举办，circus 马戏表演

孩子们举办了一场马戏表演。

我们在来复习一下 c 的发音

c 后面如果是跟 i、e、y（爱意外），发 /s/ 的音，

其他情况下，它都发 /k/ 的音。

所以这里的 circus，第一个 c 遇到 i 发 /s/

第二个 c 发 /k/，circus

Look at Wilma，

What was she doing？

She was selling the tickets.

The man was putting out the pocket.

瞧 Wilma 在做什么？

她正在卖票呢。

邻居叔叔正准备买票。

Dad was already there.

爸爸也已经在那儿等待表演开始了。

Kipper 是一个小丑。

cl 发 /cl/ clown, clean, class, click, climb 等等

Kipper was juggling.

But，

Floppy pulled his leg.

Kipper 正在玩杂耍。

但 Floppy 却拉着他的腿。

pulled，这里的 -ed 发 /d/ 的音，

因为前面的 l 是浊辅音，所以读作 pulled

昨天我们已经讲过这部分的发音规则了，今天就不再赘述了。

妈妈们感到非常的自豪。

“What a good circus !”said Mum.

“多么好的马戏表演呀！”妈妈说。

Kipper was fed up.

Kipper 突然骑着他的童车，飞快的冲向木板。

“Look at me !”he said.

哦不，Kipper 偏离了路线，被一块砖头绊到，

甩出了一个漂亮前空翻。

Everyone looked at Kipper.

每一个人都看着 Kipper.

幸好刚刚 Biff 和 Wilma 表演体操的垫子还在，

Kipper 重重的摔在了上面，没有受伤。

他的红色小圆鼻子，也被甩了出去。

Did Kipper cry？

No.

Kipper 被摔疼了，又出丑了，

他不但没有哭，还调侃自己。

“I'm a clown,after all,"said Kipper.

“毕竟，我就是一个小丑” Kipper 说。
