This self-guided video training tutorial series is available at no charge (upon approval) and can be taken at any time without enrollment.

Just request and install the DriveWorksEZ software, download the Application Guide, and follow along with the how-to videos on YouTube or download from our website.

To use the remote A1000 drive demo unit (explained in Chapter 4) you must request access by emailing Technical Training Services: [email protected].

As a pre-requisite to the “Chapter 8” how-to video as well as DriveWorksEZ Pro level accreditation, you must submit and pass the certification test that is found in the application guide.

Class Topics:

The DriveWorksEZ self-guided video training class is designed for technicians, engineers and programmers that need to know how to use DriveWorksEZ to create custom software for the GA800, A1000, GA500, V1000, and U1000 drives. Class topics include but are not limited to:

Class Materials: Students will follow along with the Application Guide in electronic format. See the link above.

Prerequisites: Students must be thoroughly versed in the Programming of the GA800, A1000, GA500, V1000, and/or U1000 drive. Class is built upon the basic knowledge of the Drive operation. Installation and knowledge of how to operate DriveWizard Industrial is also highly encouraged. Watching the DriveWizard Industrial eLearning Modules will prove beneficial.

Class Format: This class is delivered online using a combination of pre-recorded tutorial videos (80%) and application stories located in the class Application Guide (20%). This arrangement allows the student flexibility in scheduling and work pace, while eliminating travel expenses. Since the student is not away from the normal workplace, please take measures necessary to minimize interruptions.

Continuing Education Units: Continuing Education Units will be awarded to those students that attend this training class in its entirety and pass the certification test with a score of 80% or better. Yaskawa does not provide partial CEU credits for less than 100% attendance. As an IACET Accredited Provider, Yaskawa America Inc. offers CEUs for its programs that qualify under the ANSI/IACET Standard. Yaskawa America, Inc. is accredited by IACET to offer 0.8 CEUs for this program.
