Recap: A38 queues and delays as crash closes lane

Traffic remains slow on the A38 after a crash resulted in one northbound lane being closed off this morning (January 10). The crash, which was first reported at 6.29am, took place between the Rattery turn-off and Lower Dean Junction at Buckfastleigh and reportedly involved two vehicles.

Motorists and commuters heading northbound on the key Devon route between Plymouth and Exeter will be affected, so be mindful of delays and additional journey time on your normal route. The latest update from Inrix, the traffic monitoring site, says: "One lane closed and queueing traffic due to accident, two vehicles involved on A38 Northbound between A38 (Rattery Turn Off, Dean Prior) and A38 (Lower Dean Junction, Buckfastleigh).

"Affecting traffic between Plymouth and Exeter."

National Highways and Devon and Cornwall Police have been contacted for comment.
