Deping Zhao, M.D., associate professor of Tongji University, is currently the deputy chief physician of Tongji University-affiliated Shanghai Pulmonary Hospital, department of thoracic surgery. He is the committee member of the Chinese Research Hospital Association Thoracic Surgery Branch, youth member of the Thoracic Surgery Branch of the China Science and Technology Industry Association, committee member of the China Medicine Education Association Thoracic Surgery Branch, member of the Thoracic Surgery Branch of the Shanghai Medical Doctor Association, committee member of the Thoracic Surgery Branch of the Shanghai Association of Chinese Integrative Medicine, and member of the Shanghai Medical Association Tumor Target Molecule Branch.

科研业绩总览:2006.7－2007.9在美国Mayo Clinic医学中心和Memorial Sloan-Kettering癌症中心胸外科学习胸腔镜手术等胸外科技术。发表论文20余篇，参与编写专著5部。主持国家自然科学基金、国家卫健委课题、上海科技发展基金、上海市卫计委课题、吴阶平基金等课题多项。2011年获得上海市卫生系统青年人才最高荣誉奖－银蛇奖提名奖。2015年获AME-Medtronic全国胸腔镜肺切除手术视频竞赛唯一最高奖-卓越奖。

ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENTS:Prof. Zhao studied surgical techniques of thoracoscopic surgery at the Mayo Clinic Medical Center and Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in the United States between Jul 2006 and Sep 2007. He has published more than 20 papers and participated in the compilation of 5 monographs on thoracic tumor surgery. He leads several research projects, including the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the National Health Commission, the Shanghai Science and Technology Development Fund, the Shanghai Municipal Health and Family Planning Commission, and the Wu Jieping Fund. In 2011, he won the Nomination Award of the Silver Snake Award, the highest honor for young talents in the Shanghai Health System. In 2015, he won the only highest award-Excellence Award of the AME-Medtronic national video competition of thoracoscopic pulmonary resection.
