There is definitely luck involved in Spider Solitaire, but you won't win the game - especially not this 4-suit version - without a good deal of strategy. Think before you act is a good motto for a game like this.

As always, in the spider family, the objective is to build the spider's eight legs - which means filling up the eight empty foundations with nicely organized stacks of cards in the same color and perfectly ranked.

It is absolutely fine to move a card of one color on top of a card of another color - as long as it is in the right order. You always move to a card of higher rank. For example, you can take a three of diamonds and move it on to a four of clubs. You can also move several cards together if they are in sequence and in the same color.

A vacant place on the tableau can be filled with whatever card or sequence of cards is most advantageous.

When you run out of action possibilities and clicking hint does nothing, press the stack of cards on your top left and ten new cards will spread on the tableau and provide you with new options.

When the stockpile is empty - you're done. If the tableau is empty as well, you're a winner - a star! If there are still cards left, you can choose to replay the same game or start a new one.
