want 这个单词在英语出现的频率是很高的，如果可以知道一些替换单词，

那不仅能增加词汇量，也可以在写作、口语方面更加进步喔！

long 常见的意思是 "长的" ，但当作动词使用时有 "想要" 的意思。

有两种用法：

(a) long for sth

(b) long to do sth

【例句】

I long for the news about my family.

我想知道我家里的情况。

She longs to see him again before she goes abroad.

她想在出国前再见他一次。

fancy 除了 "(adj.) 华丽的" 外，也有 "(v.) 想要" 的意思。

若要后面要放动词，则需要加上 ing 喔！

【例句】

Do you fancy a glass of orange juice this morning?

你今天早上想要喝一杯柳橙汁吗？

I don't fancy having dinner with Joe.

我一点也不想跟 Joe 共进晚餐！

后面只放名词或 V-ing 喔！

【例句】

I feel like some waffles and a cup of latte now.

我现在想要来些松饼跟一杯拿铁。

He doesn't know how to respect me, so I feel like leaving him immediately. 

他根本不懂得尊重我，所以我想我该立刻离开他了！

dying 有两种用法：

(a) dying for sth

(b) dying to do sth

而且使用 dying 是有 "强烈欲望" 的含义喔！

【例句】

I am dying for my grandma's cuisine.

我超级想吃我奶奶煮的菜。

He is dying to have some beer now.

他现在超级想来点啤酒的！

相信 would like 大家并不陌生，是比 want 更有礼貌的说法。

【例句】

What would you like for dinner?

你晚餐想要吃什么呀？

I would like to know what's on your mind.

我想知道你在想什么。

be up for 后面只能放 something 喔！

【例句】

What are you up for this weekend?

你这个周末想要做什么呀？

Are you up for having a picnic with us?

你想跟我们一起野餐吗？

crave 是迫切想要的意思，是表达强烈欲望。

除了动词外，crave 加上 ing，就成了名词。

【例句】

I am craving a hot shower now.

我现在超想要洗热水澡。

She has a craving for chocolate.

她超级想要吃巧克力。

hit the spot 的主语只会是事或物，不会是人喔！

【例句】

A strawberry cake would hit the spot!

草莓蛋糕正是我想要的！

Those high-heels hit the spot!

那双高跟鞋正是我想要的！

keen 和 dying、craving 都属于强烈的字眼喔！

【例句】

Joanna wants to watch a movie, but I am not keen at all.

Joanna 想要看电影，但我一点也不想。

After a long holiday, children are keen for going to school as soon as possible.

经过了漫长的假期，小孩们都迫不及待想回去上学了！

这个短语有两种用法：

(a) be in the mood of sth

(b) be in the mood to do sth

【例句】

I am in the mood of a cup of milk tea.

我现在想喝杯奶茶。

I am not in the mood to argue with you now.

我现在没那个心思跟你吵架。
