增进民生福祉是发展的根本目的。当代中国共产党人治国理政的出发点和落脚点,就是多谋民生之利、多解民生之忧,在发展中补齐民生短板、促进社会公平正义,在幼有所育、学有所教、劳有所得、病有所医、老有所养、住有所居、弱有所扶上不断取得新进展,深入开展脱贫攻坚,保证全体人民在共建共享发展中有更多获得感,不断促进人的全面发展、全体人民共同富裕。同时,通过建设平安中国,加强和创新社会治理,维护社会和谐稳定,确保国家长治久安、人民安居乐业。

Improving the well-being of the people is the fundamental goal of development. Efforts must continue to expand access to childcare, education, employment, medical services, elderly care, housing, and social assistance. The poverty alleviation campaign must be intensified, to ensure that the impact of joint development is more broadly felt as everyone contributes to and gains from these efforts. It is critical in this respect to promote human development and bring prosperity to all. China will continue to implement the Peaceful China initiative, strengthen and improve social governance in an innovative manner, and promote social harmony and stability, so as to ensure enduring peace and prosperity.
