WNC Scholarship Program for Overseas Talent in Taiwan (啓碁科技跨海築夢之國際生在台獎助計畫)

Wistron NeWeb Corp. (WNC) has long been committed to the nurturing of talent. The company establishes this scholarship program in order to encourage outstanding overseas students to pursue postgraduate degrees and continue their research at universities in Taiwan and to nurture talent for the communications industry in Taiwan.

申請資格/Eligibility:  一、就讀台灣及離島地區之本國大專院校研究所在學碩士國際生(不含在職專班)。 Applicants must be overseas students who are studying for a Master’s degree (excluding in-service master’s programs) at a university or college in Taiwan or on outlying islands. 二、申請的前兩個學期總成績平均達七十五分(含)以上或系所排名前百分之五十，操行成績平均八十分(含)以上，且在校期間未曾受記過以上之處分。若先前修讀國外大學，則GPA換算需為同等成績。 In the two semesters prior to the application, the applicant’s average grades must be 75 or higher or in the top 50% of their department. In addition, applicants should not have any demerit records during their study and their conduct scores should be no lower than 80. If applicants studied at foreign universities prior to the application, they should convert their GPAs into percentage grades. 三、未受領其他單位包含服務義務條款之獎助學金者。 Applicants must not be recipients of other work-conditional scholarships.

獎助金額/Amount: 一、一年新台幣十五萬元，至多補助兩年。以上金額含稅金、健保補充保費等政府規定徵收費用。 NT$150,000 a year with a maximum duration of two years. Taxes, supplementary insurance premium of Taiwan’s National Health Insurance and other government charges and fees will be withheld. 二、獲獎者須與本公司另外簽訂獎助學金合約，方可領取獎學金。 Winners of this scholarship must sign a scholarship contract with WNC before they can receive funds.
