CLEVELAND, Ohio -- Hard to believe, but it's November.

That means colder weather and the holidays are just around the corner. But so are some highly anticipated events like Elton John's farewell show at the Rock, the Tony-winning musical "The Band's Visit" at Playhouse Square, the annual Dia de Muertos celebration at Gordon Square and WinterFest, Cleveland's official kickoff to the Christmas season.

But that's not all. So, bust out the calendar on your phone and starting adding these 40 events to your schedule.

Dia De Muertos

This holiday, with origins going back to the Aztecs, honors ancestors  and loved ones who've passed. The annual festivities in the Gordon Square neighborhood  include face painting, live music, dancing latin food, altar installations, vendors and more.
