Tianyou Wang is a professor of Energy and Power Engineering, vice president of Tianjin University, and a member of the State Key Laboratory of Engines. Professor Wang received his BEng, MEng, and PhD degrees in Energy and Power Engineering from Tianjin University. After that, he became a faculty member at Tianjin University. His research focuses on efficient and clean combustion in internal combustion (IC) engines. Professor Wang has published 60+ papers and filed 12 patents. He also led 100+ grants from the National Natural Science Foundation of China, National Key Technology Research and Development Program of the Ministry of Science and Technology of China, National High Technology Research and Development Program of China (863 Program), and industries. He received the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars in 2016.The technologies he developed on test, evaluation, and design of airflow in IC engines have been widely used in the automobile and IC engine industries. He won the first prize of Technological Invention Award of Tianjin, the first prize of National Machinery Industry Science and Technology Award, the Excellent Patent Award of China.
