三、常见考法

初级难度：

1．比较级的标志词

① 填空处后有than，用比较级。如果有as，则用原级。( 注意前文出现比较级，空格没有提示词，可能要填th an)

② 填空处前有even，much，far，rather，a little/bit及倍数(twice，three times)等，用比较级。

2．最高级的标志词

① 填空处后有of all/among等表范围，用最高级。

② 填空处前有one of the，the＋序数词，定冠词the，则用最高级。

中级难度：

3．固定句型

①the＋比较级...，the＋比较级...越…… 越……

② 比较级＋and＋比较级 越来越……

③ 否定词＋比较级＝最高级

④“(倍数)＋as＋原级＋as” 结构

⑤more than＋adj.表示“ 非常……”

高级难度：

4．利用隐含信息判断 （所谓隐含信息就是句子翻译）

①句中虽没有than等标志词，但暗含两者的比较，也用比较级。

② 固定搭配（What’smore:此外；Worse still/What’s worse/ Evenworse：更糟糕的是；much less： 更不用说等；需要自己随时总结）

③句中虽没有than等标志词，但暗含 最高级，也用最高级。

注意：even ，much修饰比较级 ；very修饰原级 ；经常考察的搭配为：even/much better ；very good ，这种考法在短文改错中经常出现

较难试题：

1. Even ______ (bad) ，the amount of fast food that people eat goes up.( 2017·全国Ⅰ)

答案worse

解析　考查副词的比较级。根据语境可知，此处表示程度的加深，所以用比较级形式。even worse 更糟的是，可以看作固定搭配。

注意：bad，worse有两个词性，形容词和副词；在这里修饰句子，所以是副词的词性
