How do you convert emu/g to Ub (mewB) per TM atom?
https://www.researchgate.net/pos ... Ub_mewB_per_TM_atom
1 emu = 10^-3 J/T
1 μB = 9.27402×10^-24 J/T
So, 1 emu = 10^-3/9.27402×10^-24 μB = 1.0783×10^20 μB
Now you have to know the formula of the composite and gm. Atomic wt. of each element….
Suppose… Ni_2MnGa……..
Ni = 58.6934
Mn = 54.938
Ga = 69.723
1 Ni atom = 58.6934/6.022×10^23 g = 9.7465×10^-23 g
1 Mn atom = 54.938/6.022×10^23 g = 9.1229×10^-23 g
1 Ga atom = 69.723/6.022×10^23 g = 11.5781×10^-23 g
So, mass of 1 formula unit (f.u.) Ni2MnGa = (2×9.7465+9.1229+11.5781)×10^-23 g = 4.0194×10^-22 g
Suppose, Ms of Ni_2MnGa = 80 emu/g
Then, moment for 1 f.u. can be given as::::
= 80×4.0194×10^-22 emu
= 3.2156×10^-20 emu
= 3.2156×10^-20×1.0783×10^20 μB (using the conversion given in 3rd line)
= 3.4674 μB
So, Ms = 3.5 μB/f.u,
