Job Description

Leadership

‒ Model strong leadership that is aligned with the Company's values; help define and embody the Company's corporate value system and promote a high-performing culture.

‒ Lead, mentor, and develop all levels of management within the business.

‒ Establish and oversee functional performance objectives; provide development opportunities and recognize excellent achievement while fostering open lines of communication.Financial Management, Analytics & Reporting‒ Be a trusted and proactive partner in decision-making, maintaining a business-enabling mindset without sacrificing objectivity and healthy skepticism.

‒ Hold a strong understanding of the business, its profit drivers, and cost structure to act as a consultative leader in improving and expanding the business; work with the Executive Leadership Team to support strategic decision-making and planning, deal support, and financial engineering with a focus on value creation, and capital structure optimization to support growth.

‒ Work with the President to improve forecasting capabilities and processes. Identify organizational objectives and departments that the FP&A function serves, and build effective and influential relationships (e.g., sales, operations, marketing, technology).

‒ Develop processes that balance speed with the need for evidence-based decision-making.

‒ Develop efficient and effective financial tools and systems that capture and highlight information to grow the business and provide insight while protecting the company's assets and enhancing the running of the business.

‒ Ensure an effective reporting model is created to provide insights on profitability across all revenue-generating business units (subsidiaries) under the company

‒ Develop and provide operational reporting and analytic tools that are flexible, scalable, and reflective of a growth-oriented business.

‒ Oversee the annual budgeting process, including review and approval of department budgets, and preparation of reports and analysis for the board and financial institutions.

‒ Oversee and provide proper management and compliance reporting; ensure proper controls and audit processes are in place.

‒ Oversee the development of updated financial and cash flow forecasts as required.Business Strategy

‒ Play a lead role in formulating and developing the Company's strategic plan and financial models, supporting the development of required talent and priorities for the organization, and establishing the key performance metrics as the organization continues on its aggressive growth agenda.

‒ Collaborate with and provide support to the Executive Team to enable the growth of the business.

The Successful Applicant

Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, or engineering with a Master of Business Administration (MBA) and/or Professional designation (CFA, CPA/CA).8+ years of progressive experience in financial reporting, business planning, financial management/forecasting or accounting function, with experience in a senior managerial position(s).Experience in commercial financing and equipment leasing is a strong assetStrong knowlege in IFRS and US GAAP8 years of management experience effectively leading, influencing and motivating a team of finance and accounting resources.
