英语词组 : 表示 “最终”、“最后” 的常用短语

1）与将来时态连用，表示未来最终的状态或期待的结果。

2）指经过许多变化、困难或捉摸不定的情况之后 “最后”，“终于” 才出现的结果，这一用法

多用过去时态。这一用法与 at last 相似，有时可以换用。

例句：

I hope that everything will turn out all right in the end.

我希望一切最终都会顺利。

Evildoers are bound to be punished in the end.

做坏事的人到头来总会遭报应的。
