基本情况：

华南国家计量测试中心/广东省计量科学研究院（简称华南中心）是国家质量技术监督检验检疫总局批准成立的全国七个大区级国家法定计量检定机构之一，其前身广东省计量科学研究所于1959年成立。

华南中心负责华南地区量值传递；提供准确可靠的计量检定、校准、测试服务；承担计量器具新产品和进口计量器具定型鉴定和样机试验；开展计量技术科研开发；为香港和澳门特别行政区提供校准与测试服务；为企业和测试机构提供质保体系认证和实验室认可咨询及计量检定、校准人员培训服务。

华南中心目前建立和保存了瓦级、毫瓦级超声功率和橡胶硬度3项国家计量基准以及包括长度、力学、温度、电磁、无线电、光学、理化、声学、时间频率等174项计量标准，通过中国实验室国家认可的校准项目407项。同时获国家质监总局关于衡器、水表、煤仪表、电能表、出租汽车计价器和税控加油机6种重点管理计量器具定型鉴定的授权。华南中心是首家获得中国实验室国家认可委员会（CNAL）认可的校准实验室，同时是目前国内唯一取得香港认可处（HKAS）认可的校准实验室。

华南中心现有实验办公用房15000 m2，其中实验室面积5000 m2，包括可以满足各项目不同环境要求的具有良好恒温、恒湿、防尘、防震、防辐射、防电磁干扰的实验室及一流的地下恒温实验室。到2002年底，固定资产4087万元，其中仪器设备2913万元。华南中心重视科技队伍建设和人员素质，提倡刻苦钻研业务的精神和严谨的工作作风，拥有一批业务能力强、素质高、经验丰富、训练有素的专业技术人员。目前职工人数170人，其中高级职称24人，中级职称60人。

Introduction:

SouthChinaNationalCenterof Metrology & Guangdong Institute of Metrology (SCM), authorized and established by General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of The People’s Republic of China (AQSIQ), is one of seven region National Legal Metrological Verification Institutions. Its former body was found in 1959

SCM takes the responsibilities of disseminating the values of quantities in south China region; provides accurate and reliable services of metrological verification, calibration and test; accepts pattern evaluation and prototype testing for measuring instruments of new types and import; engages in the scientific researches of metrological technology; provides calibration and test services for Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions; offers consultati on of quality system authorization and laboratory accreditation, training service to the technical staff of metrological verification and calibration for enterprises and test institutes.

SCM has set up 3 items of national primary standards including watt level ultrasonic power, mill watt level ultrasonic power and IRHD rubber hardness, 174 items of measuring standard covering with geometry, mechanics, temperature, electrics-magnetics, electronics, optics, physics-chemistry, acoustics, time-frequency and other metrological fields. It has been authorized by AQSIQ for all six kinds pattern evaluation of emphatic supervisory measuring instruments which are weighing instrument, water meter, gas meter, watt meter, taxi meter, tax fuel dispenser. SCM is the first calibration laboratory accredited by CNAL and the only calibration laboratory accredited by HOKLAS in mainland.

SCM has 15,000m2 of building including 5,000m2 of laboratories. All laboratories are with satisfactory constant temperature and humidity, resisting dust, vibration, radiation and electro magnetic disturbance excellent underground constant temperature laboratories, to meet the requirements for difference items of test. SCM has capital asserts 41 million Yuan including 29 million Yuan of instruments and equipment till 2002. As well as, SCM emphasize technical staff constructed and personnel quality, advocates industrious research inspirit and religious style. SCM has competent, high quality, experienced and bridle-wise professorial technical staff. The total number of staff is 170 including 24 senior engineers and 60 engineers.
