The Huang Mountain is a place of interest. There are lots of tourists seeing sights every day.Years ago,some of them paid no attention to environment protection.They threw about waste paper,plastic bags and tins.Besides,they killed animals,caught birds,destroyed trees and flowers.Worse still,they often made a fire to cook in the forest.That was dangerous.Changes have taken place now.When tourists leave,they take away rubbish with them.They no longer hunt animals.Plants are also protected.All the tourists carry their lunch in order not to start forest fire.We must sing high praise of the good deeds.

Huanglong Scenic area is located in Songpan County, Sichuan Province. It was listed as a world heritage site in 1992. The area, which extends over 700 square kilometers, contains two parts: the Huanglong and Maonigou. This scenic spot is the result of the formations of talpatate which give a special color to ponds and beaches. Together with high mountains, snow covered peaks, valleys, waterfalls, lakes and forests, these talpatates look especially marvelous.

Among the various unique and wild scenes of the scenic area, one of the most eye-catching is the Huanglong (Yellow Dragon) Ravine. The ravine, located at the foot of the Xuebao Peak in the Minshan Mountain, is 3.6 kilometers long and 30-170 meters wide. The section from the Fuyuan Bridge at the entrance to the Yuyu Pond is 3,160-3,574 meters above sea level and its surface is a thick layer of light yellow talpatate. In the sunshine, the ravine looks like a golden dragon winding its way through the forest.

In the ravine there are a variety of talpatate scenes, such as talpatate ponds, beaches, waterfalls, caves and dykes. However, the 3,400 colorful talpatate ponds in different shapes, sizes and colors are the most attractive.

With the tourist season coming, the ticket price of some of the places of interest has been raised again. Some people think that the price lift can limit the number of visitors so that the environment can be better protected. However, other people believe that this is not at all fair because the beautiful scenery belongs to all people who have the right to appreciate it. They think that the price lift will discourage those with a lower income from visiting these places. I firmly hold that the ticket price should not be raised so that more ordinary people can enjoy the fantastic nature of our great country.
