这是个四级/六级/考研/托福/雅思/GRE/GMAT词汇，可以用构词法来记。单词的前缀under就是其本意“在...之下”，而词根mine的含义为“n.矿;v.采矿”，我们可以通过常见的mineral water(矿泉水)来加深对mine(矿)的理解。综合起来就是在地底下采矿，这样会使得地面逐渐下陷，坍塌，所以引申为“暗中破坏；逐渐削弱；侵蚀…的基础”。
