外联部怎么翻译？

很多版本译文outreach department，但不太合适，outreach是指主动出击帮助别人，reach out to others to offer help，但是外联部显然是和外边联络，联合，合作事项，为何要用主动帮助outreach这个词。

2. Department of External Liaison

问题就在于liaison一般就是指组织之间的联络，有internal liaison么？一般Department of Liaison明显就是和外边组织个人联络的部门，不是负责内部联络。所以译文推荐用Department of Liaison不是external liaison。也有Department of Liaison Services的说法。

中共中央对外联络部用的是International Department 国际联络部的意思

回复：政府部门的叫法和公司不一样，政府部门叫Department of Liaison感觉有点不够官方那个范，翻成国际部，意思就是和国外联系，中文是国际部的意思。公司可不敢用，都是一些大的政府部门。

中联部没有直译对外俩字，而是用了国际一词，并且是各国党派之间的联络。公司当然不能和部委一样了，可以用public relations department 公共联系部，或者out reach

回复：outreach始终是有主动帮助别人的意思，不太好用, public relations又是PR公共关系，这个词在中文里总有负面意思，就是要出了乱子再公关就是PR。PR还经常指个人或机构通过各种方式向大众传播信息，所以最后用这个词翻外联部，还是很鸡肋。
