一、在“be + 性质形容词+ to do”结构中，通常使用不定式的主动形式表示被动意义。

例1：The cake is easy to make. 这种蛋糕很容易做。

cake与make之间为逻辑上的被动关系，好像应使用to be made形式，但事实上使用不定式的主动式。

例2：The apples are hard to reach. “苹果很难够到。

apples与reach之间为逻辑上的被动关系，但实际上用不定式的主动式。

二、在“be + 状态形容词+ to do”结构中，

（1）如果句子的主语与不定式是主动关系，不定式使用主动形式；

（2）如果句子的主语与不定式是被动关系，使用不定式的被动形式。

例3：I am glad to attend her party. 我很高兴参加她的聚会。

例4：I am glad to be invited to her party. 我很高兴被邀请参加她的聚会。

glad是表示心理活动（喜怒哀乐）的状态形容词。这种结构中的状态形容词最常见的就是这类形容词。这类形容词有：glad, pleased, happy, joyful, delighted, angry , sorry等。

注意：

以上两种结构中的to do 都必须是及物动词，如果是不及物动词，不及物动词后面要加相应的介词。如：

The boss is hard to get along with. 这个老板很难说话。

I’m grateful to be taken care of. 我受到了照顾，我很感激。

你能说出这两句话的区别吗？

She is happy to teach.

第一句是“她很高兴被教了”，happy是状态形容词，表示she的心理状态；

第二句是“教她是件令人愉快的事”，happy在这里活用为性质形容词，表示she具有使人happy这样一种性质。 She is happy to teach. = It is happy to teach her.

【进一步拓展】be + adj 的三大种情况

第一种情况：

1. I am good at English. (be+adj. +介+n.)

2. He is interested in it. (be+adj. +介+代词)

3. We are glad at meeting each other. (be+adj. +介+doing sth.)

第二种情况：

1. I am happy to help you. (be+adj. +to do sth.)

2. we are eager to see you soon. (be+adj. +to do sth.)

第三种情况：

1. I am glad that you can accept my gift. (be+adj. +that从句)

2. It is interesting that every one can have a try in the room. (be+adj. +that从句)

第一句that引导的是宾语从句；

第二句that引导的是主语从句。因为句首有一个形式主语。
