热词译

领导讲话稿中，经常会说到“开创”，比如“开创新局面”、“开创美好未来”。这个“开创”，英文怎么说呢？

1. create

create是一个常用的用法，也是字面意思“创造”。create是个用途比较广泛的词，因为后面可以跟的宾语比较多，future、approach等等，都可以create。所以如果不好翻，最简单的就是翻译成create。

有几个例子：

我们要平等协商，开创共赢共享的未来。 

We need consultation on an equal footing to create a future of shared benefits.

中国特色减贫道路，是中国人民在中国共产党的领导下，经过长期艰辛探索开创出来的一条成功道路。

Under the CPC leadership, the Chinese people have created an approach to poverty alleviation with their own hard work.

2. open up

open up有些暗喻的意思，表示“开启”。实际运用中，基本可以与create互换。

我愿就开创中非合作新局面提出四点建议

I propose that we take the following four steps to open up a new horizon for China-Africa cooperation

我们愿同东盟打造更为紧密的命运共同体，开创更加精彩的下一个30年。

China is ready to work with ASEAN to build an even closer community with a shared future, and open up another 30 years of even greater cooperation.

这一年，党和国家事业发展攻坚克难、开创新局。

Over the past year, the Communist Party of China (CPC) and the Chinese nation overcame tough challenges and opened up new prospects for the future.

3. break new ground

break ground也有暗喻的意思，原意是“破土动工”，作为“开创”的意思用，也很生动。下面这个翻译是口译大神张璐的译法：

不断开创中国特色大国外交的新局面。

keep breaking new ground in China's distinctive major-country diplomacy.
