The Big ASUS X550JX Review

The ASUS X550JX is among the best gaming notebooks available in the market today. The notebook comes with numerous specs that make it ideal especially for gamers. The notebook is also favorably priced especially when compared to other similar notebooks in the market. Below is a detailed ASUS X550JX review that highlights all its notable features and perhaps explains why it is a great buy for gaming lovers.

This ASUS notebook comes in a compact design and weighs slightly over 5 pounds which means that it is highly portable. The computer body is made of high quality plastic and comes with a smooth matte finish with well rounded edges and a modern attractive design. The cover is mostly black or dark grey with some red stripes on the lid and area around the keyboard.

The X550JX comes with a wide 15.6 inch screen which works great when it comes to gaming and performing normal computer functions. The screen brightness is alright though for a notebook in this price range ASUS would have done better on the screen especially to address the limited viewing angles.

This notebook comes with a black Chiclet keyboard that is designed for easy typing and gaming. The keys travel distance is relatively short and the entire keyboard is just the right size and quite comfortable even for those with large hands. The letters on the keyboard are red in color which provides a nice contrast with the back background. The keyboard doesn’t have backlighting though.

The X550JX touch pad just like the keyboard is a smooth black with no physical button. Unlike in most computers though, the touchpad is not at the center but more to right just below the Alt tab. The touchpad is quite responsive to touch and works great to ensure a pleasant user experience.

The 4 cell lithium battery will normally go for about 5 hours performing normal computer functions and about an hour or so when the computer is used for serious gaming.

This notebook’s gaming performance is just impressive which explains why it is best known as a gaming machine. The audios are impressive with minimal if any noise even when the machine is simply being overworked. The machine takes just seconds to boot and loading files and other computer programs is just as fast

All things considered the ASUS X550JX is definitely a great buy especially for gaming fans. Its performance is quite impressive and you can do a lot more with it than just gaming. The notebooks storage is impressive and it is quite a looker so you do not have to compromise on looks to get a quality work and gaming horse. The X550JX comes at a bargain and with all its impressive features, it is definitely worth every penny and so much more.
