公厕“来也匆匆，去也冲冲”文明标语，老外的翻译，让人看了脸红

下面这句可谓开车都开到脸上来了，实在是毫不隐晦：

Would you please stand closer, because your Big John is not as long as you think.

能不能站得近一些，因为你的“Big John”不像你想象得那么长。

亮点就在“Big John”，根据语境大家都猜到是什么了。上面这种译法，再简短一点就是：Stand closer; It's shorter than you think.

还有下面这种译法：

We aim to please. You aim too , please.

我们的目标是使你满意，也请你瞄准。

这里利用了aim和please的一词多义。第一个aim表示“目标”，第二个aim表示“瞄准”；第一个please表示“使满意”，第二个please表示“请”。

Come in a rush, leave with a flush.

来也匆匆，去也冲冲。

这个翻译的语法结构比较一致，in a rush和with a flush都是介宾短语作状语。另外，rush和flush也比较押韵。

不过Come in a rush还有另一层意思，它是“快速shè jing（zǎo xiè）”的委婉说法。
