So my first test was to swap the DB9 probifus connector beetween the IM153-1, the error was still there.

when you have any problems you should always read event buffer of your CPU. The information you get there is more detailled.

When you exchange parts, you have to keep in mind that HW-configuration is part specific. Especially when you change a newer against an older module you are likely to experiance problems.

Now you will either have to change HW-configuration for changed module to what you have put there an download. Or, depending on your module, you could check if you can upgrade your module to newer by downloading different firmware. You can check in HW-catalog what the differences between the modul there and the replacement module are.

Did you already try to change back to original module? If yes, did error still resume?

If you have enough spare parts, you could also create a small test project where you integrate the changed IM 153-1, do the HW-configuration and then see if error would be in test project too - to be sure its really the module.

regarding the replacement: had both im153-1 the same firmware version? you will get the "different modules" warning if you insert a modul with lower FW than projected.
