都有“学习”的意思，learn 和 study 却截然不同

Learn 和 study是两个意义相近的动词，它们都有”学习“的意思，常常被混淆为表达相同意思的词，但它们在用法上有一定的区别，不能混为一谈，而且 learn 的用法比 study 的广。

一、learn

1. learn 表示通过学习、经历或教育而获得知识或技能，它还可以用来表示掌握一门学科或科目，或为兴趣、娱乐或达到一定目的而进行的活动，例如：

I learned a lot from my father.

我从父亲那里学到了许多东西。

I'm learning to play the piano.

我在学弹钢琴。

I've learned a lot about computers since I started work here.

自从我在这里工作以来，我学到了很多关于计算机的知识。

Learn 后面常接不定式的疑问结构 how to do，例如：

She learned how to do her job very quickly.

她很快学会了如何做她的工作。

First you'll learn how to use this machine.

首先你将学习如何使用这台机器。

2. learn 意为”得知、获悉，听到“等，常用于搭配 learn of/about sth 中或常接宾语从句，例如：

We were all shocked to learn of his death.

得知他死了，我们都感到震惊。

I later learned (that) the message had never arrived.

我后来得知那封信一直没有收到。

I only learned about the accident later.

我后来才听到那次事故。

二、study

1. 作动词时，study 表示通过花费时间或努力来获得学术知识，且主要是在课堂上或通过读书，所以我们通常不说 study to play the guitar，意为”学习，攻读“，例如：

Students who spend some time each day studying will do well on tests.

每天花一些时间学习的学生会在考试中取得好成绩。

She's been studying for her doctorate for three years already.

她攻读博士学位已经三年了。

有时 study 包含有准备考试的味道，例如：

Don't disturb Jane, she's studying for her exams.

不要打扰简，她正在温习功课
