Client Details

Our client is a premier general contractor located in the western suburbs of Chicago - primary focus on healthcare, light industrial and tenant interiors construction projects. Due to a strong pipeline, they are immediately seeking the appointment of an experienced and driven construction assistant project manager to assist with multiple projects across the Chicagoland area with the project manager.

Description

Contacting subcontractors and vendors during bid processProject scope of work developmentProject planning and implementation of activitiesDocument management and logging including safety documentation, submittals, drawing logs, RFIs, transmittals, close out documents, meeting minutesSubcontractor and superintendent coordinationTravel to job sites as required by PM and/or superintendents

Profile

To secure this position, you will be a driven and motivated construction professional with previous experience working on commercial, industrial or multifamily projects. The successful Assistant Project Manager:

2+ years of experience working in the construction industryBachelor's degree in Construction Management, civil engineering or a related fieldManage administrative construction duties, including document controlPrepare submittal schedules for approval and distributionAssist the Project Manager with change orders, subcontractor scheduling and invoicing, reviewing monthly job costsAssist the Superintendent with RFI reports, QA/QC documentation, and construction field operationsAssist with preconstruction tasks, including estimating and quantificationCollect and log closeout documents and punch lists

Job Offer
