recall,reminisce,remember（回忆）有什么区别

memorize, remember, recall, recollect, remind，reminisce

这些动词均有“记忆，记住，回忆”之意。

【1】memorize： 指有意识的下功夫把某事的整个细节都记在脑子里。

(用法1)熟记;记住

He studied his map, trying to memorize the way to Rose's street. 

他研究了地图，试图记住到罗丝家那条街的路。

【2】remember： 含义较广，多指无意识地回忆起往事，也可指通过主观努力去记忆。

(用法1)记得;记起;想起

You wouldn't remember me. I was in another group.

你不会记得我。我那时在另外一组。

I certainly don't remember talking to you at all

我当然完全不记得和你讲过话。

I remember her being a dominant figure.

我记得她是一个举足轻重的人物。

I remembered that we had drunk the last of the coffee the week before... 我记得我们在一个星期前就把最后的那点儿咖啡喝完了。

I can remember where and when I bought each one.

【3】recall 指回想起发生在过去的某个事情或者召回某人某物

(用法1)记起;回想起;回忆说

Henderson recalled that he first met Pollard during a business trip to Washington.

亨德森记起他第一次见到波拉德是在一次去华盛顿出差的时候。

Her teacher recalled: 'She was always on about modelling.'

她的老师回忆说：“她那时老是说要当模特。”

Colleagues today recall with humor how meetings would crawl into the early morning hours.

He had a good memory, and total recall of her spoken words.

(用法4) 召回;叫回

Spain has recalled its Ambassador after a row over refugees seeking asylum at the embassy.

【4】recollect： 指在记忆中搜索，设法想起一时想不起的事情或人，强调过程。

Ramona spoke with warmth when she recollected the doctor who used to be at the county hospital.

拉蒙纳回忆起曾在乡村医院工作的那位医生时，言语中透着温情。

His efforts, the Duke recollected many years later, were distinctly half-hearted.

【5】remind： 指经某人或某事的提醒而回忆起某件已遗忘之事。

(用法1)使想起;使记起;提醒

So she simply welcomed him and reminded him of the last time they had met... 于是她只是对他表示欢迎，并且提醒说他们上次见过面。

I had to remind myself that being confident is not the same as being perfect! 我得提醒自己表现得自信和表现得完美并不是一回事！

(用法2)让我提醒你…/我能提醒你

The note was to remind him about something he had to explain to one of his students.

(用法4) (因为相似)使联想到

She reminds me of the wife of the pilot who used to work for you.

This reminds me of Christmas parties.

【6】reminisce:追忆;回忆;叙旧 主要指回忆发生过去某事情，你可以通过写作和谈话方式加以回忆，通常是以很愉快心情.

(用法1)追忆;回忆;叙旧

Ray and I ate our meal and reminisced about the trip.

雷和我吃着饭，回忆起那次旅行。

I don't like reminiscing because it makes me feel old. 

我不喜欢追忆往事，因为那会让我感觉变老了。
