1. Are the June exams going ahead?

Yes, we are currently working alongside our exam delivery partners in preparation for delivering the upcoming June exam session in as many countries/regions as possible.

2. Are all the June exams being run in ACCA exam centres?

No, due to the ongoing impact of the Covid-19 pandemic we have made the decision in a number of countries and regions to once again offer the exam contingency option of remotely invigilated exams.

Please visit the exams section of our website to find out the latest June session information, including the areas where centre exams have now moved to the remotely invigilated method.

More information on June’s remote exams can be found in the remote exams section of our website by clicking here.

And a dedicated set of remote exam FAQs can be found here.

3. If there are any key exam session updates to know about, how will students be kept notified?

We’ll provide any key exam session updates, including unavoidable cancellations, via email. Please ensure you check the inbox for the email address recorded on your ACCA account frequently for any updates.

You can check your registered email address by logging into your myACCA account and clicking My Details, then selecting Contact Details.  Please ensure your email address is kept updated and you have given the appropriate consent level to permit us to contact you with these updates.

4. What is the June exam session timetable for centre-based exams?

The June exam session is due to begin on 7 June, and the centre-based exam timetable can be found here.

5. What measures will be in place at exam centres to ensure the health and safety of students?

The health and safety of our staff and students remains the top priority.  Each country is subject to a differing set of Covid-related guidelines and regulations, as imposed by local authorities.  We assure you these guidelines will be adhered to in each location and we will only operate exams in locations where we’ve been given approval to do so by local authorities.

We will communicate to students in mid-May on the type of conditions and regulations which can be expected to be in place at exam centres for June.  When these measures have been communicated to students, they will also be published in the centre-based section at the bottom of this webpage.

6. What if wearing a face mask is mandatory at my exam centre but an underlying health condition prevents me from wearing one?

Any students in this situation must notify ACCA of their exemption prior to the exam via the Contact Us form on the website, so that we can check with your exam centre if it’s possible to permit access without wearing a mask.

7. Will I be allowed to wear a face visor during my exam?

Yes, students will be permitted to wear a face visor during their exam where local government guidance permits this.

8. Will my temperature be taken at the exam centre on the day?

All students should be aware that as a high temperature is one of the most common symptoms of Covid-19, your temperature may be taken before you are granted access to the exam hall on the day.

9. What date will I be able to amend my June exam entry until?

Students were able to make an exam entry amendment, without being charged the exam fee, up until the standard entry deadline on Monday 26 April.

10. What if I am unable to attend the June exam due to an exceptional reason?

Any students in this scenario should follow the standard exam withdrawal process as per the guidance found here in the main exams FAQs, titled: ‘What happens if I enter an exam and then can no longer take it?’.

This includes any students unable to attend due to a clash with their school / university exam timetable, or due to an unexpected change in their exam centre town/city.

If you are unable to attend due to Covid-19, please submit your request with supporting documentary evidence, which may include a medical letter, quarantine request from the government, relevant screenshot of a health tracing app, travel to/information of a high risk area impacting your exam attendance plans or other.

The June withdrawals deadline is 23 June.

11. What if I’m not permitted entry into the exam centre due to displaying Covid-19 symptoms?

Any students showing Covid-19 symptoms and not permitted entry to their exam, should contact ACCA to request a withdrawal as per the standard exam withdrawal process above.

12. If the exam centre address in exam planner is still showing as ‘TBA’, when can I expect for this to be available?

Due to the logistical challenges brought about by the pandemic, and the need to follow local government guidance to enable us to run exams safely (such as social distancing measures), it has not been possible to source all exam centres as normal.

This means there are still some centre addresses to be confirmed on the systems, so the details are not currently showing on exam planner.

Although we are aiming to have all addresses confirmed by the time exam dockets are released, it is likely that some will be confirmed after dockets are initially released.

If this is the case for an exam centre you are booked into, you will be contacted by email and advised when your docket will be available.  All students will be sent a docket availability notification email when their docket becomes available.

13. What if I’ve been allocated to a different exam centre from that chosen by me, and the allocated exam centre is not suitable?

Where entries exceed the capacity at any particular centre it may occasionally be necessary for ACCA to transfer candidates to another centre.  In such instances ACCA reserve the right to transfer candidates to the nearest alternative centre.

As per ACCA’s exam entry terms and conditions, ACCA reserves the right to cancel or reschedule exams without prior notice and to amend or alter published exams, fees and exam venues.

If you are unable to attend your exam, please follow the standard exam withdrawal process as per the guidance found here.

14. What if my study for the exam has been affected by tuition provider closures and I do not feel fully prepared?

Any students who have had their studying disrupted in this way, which has resulted in a lack of suitable preparation, should follow the standard exam withdrawal process as outlined further above ensuring to provide supporting documentary evidence and details of the closure.

15. When will June exam attendance dockets be released?

Exam dockets will be made available in mid-May, and students will be notified via email.

However, there may be a number of students we’re still unable to confirm final venue details for at the time of the initial release, and students in this category will be contacted by email when their docket becomes available.

16. What message shows on-screen if I try to download my docket but I’m one of the students in the scenario above whereby venue details haven’t yet been finalised?

You will see the following message:

“Please note your exam docket is currently unavailable, please try again later.”

17. What if the exam booking details on my docket are different to those held on the exam planner, which one will be correct?

The exam attendance docket provides students with the final exam booking details each session and should be used by students as official confirmation of their exam time/date and address.

If your exam booking details change for any reason after dockets have been released, we will update you via email and provide your new booking details.  You should then download a new copy of your docket and take it to your exam.

18. Where can I go for further information?

If you have any further questions then please contact us here.
